Budapest Half Marathon (04 Sep 2005)

Nice flat course, mainly along the Danube. Very well organised, with one of the famous thermal baths being used as race HQ, and a free visit was included in the entry fee afterwards - a nice way to relax after a race.

Approx 8000 runners in total.

Budapest Half Marathon (04 Sep 2011)

Weather was extremely hot reaching over 32C. Limited shade en route but there was a slight breeze when heading north.

Great PB potential under cooler conditions. Flat course with a couple of tight switchbacks and inclines to bridges and a flyover.

Well organised event with plenty of support along the route, including a 'breakfast run' the day before. Disappointing goodie bags although they did contain 1.5 litres of water.

Budapest Half Marathon (14 Sep 2014)

Another well organised Budapest running event with music and support along the mainly flat and scenic course. Pace setters from 1:30. Ample refreshment stations. Perfect conditions with it being overcast following heavy rain over night and reaching 18’C during the race. Would recommend and return!
