Sri Chinmoy 5k (22 Oct 2011)

Congratulations are due to Vic Carter who won the woman's race, Michael Lehmann who won the men over 70 race and Jacob Weibel who was 4th overall.

Good organisation, fast flat course, lovely marshals, inexpensive, bananas, water and orange squash at the end. And there are always lots of Serpies running. What more could a runner ask for?

At least four Serpies got PB's during this race.

"Kangaroo Hop" race

Sri Chinmoy 5k (31 Jul 2017)

At the penultimate Monday evening race of 2017 - the Flying Falcon 5K - 183 intrepid runners crossed the finish line. It was a mild summer evening and conditions were perfect for a fast race. Jonny Hay set a new course record, crossing the finish line in 14:37! Stephanie Davis won the Ladies race, setting the second best time on this course of 16:50. Twelve year old Akira Edgson from Sale Harriers finished in 20:47. There was a great turn out in the Vet categories. Our last Monday evening race is next week on August 7th - a 5K - we look forward to seeing everyone there!

Sri Chinmoy 5k (07 Aug 2017)

As the heavens gave a light spray to keep everyone cool, the final race in our Monday evening 2017 series began with a bumper field of 260 runners. World Championship inspiration seemed to speard to Battersea Park as every age group shone. From Zachariah Bridgeland storming home in 16.28 to claim first U16 boys and Rose Garrett flying through in 19.12 for first U16 girls, to Penny Elliot (1st V70W 25.50) and Cliff Collins (1st V80M 26.27) showing age is no barrier.

Thank you everyone who competed in our summer series, you gave us a great summer of racing splendour. Here's to 2018! But if you can't wait that long, do join us for 10K Saturday morning racing in October.

Sri Chinmoy 5k (21 Jun 2021)

Midsummer's day was drizzly and overcast, with temperatures dropping to 13C. But that didn't dampen the spirits of 141 runners who completed the Sri Chinmoy Kangaroo Hop 5K.

Nick Bester finished first in 15:14.

Sophie Harris was the first woman in 16:28, breaking the course record by 5 seconds!
