Kingfisher Aquathlon Full Distance (13 May 2012)

Well done to everyone that turned up to race last Sunday, we were lucky with the sunshine given the previous weeks deluge which had left parts of course reminiscent of Hampstead heath in December. Optima racing dominated the day with the top 3 places in the mens race and 1st of the females so took the top spot in the league. Despite us getting 3 in the top ten including the often hard to find 40+ scorer and a 6th Placed female (Jo Beak) we were knocked into 3rd overall by Crystal palace.

Our scoring team were Eoin 7th overall, Jonathan Rae stepping out of retirement to defend his title 8th overall, a great run from Alex to finish 10th and Angus in 13th.

Congratulations to our Aquathlon club champions Eoin O Connell and Jo Beak

We really missed a few key athletes that were on the start list for Sunday, so please everyone try and make it to Crystal Palace this weekend. We are currently sitting first in the league but with Optima on max points over 3 races they only need to win one more race to take the league. We can also still get max points so please everyone sign up for the clash of the tritons aquathlon when it opens.
