Serpie Planner - event reports

Pirie 10M (02 Dec 2012)

A 10 mile cross-country race (although actually 9.8) consisting of two laps of beautiful Farthing Down and Happy Valley. A mix of open downland with lovely views, valleys, woods and farmers fields - plus the odd cow on the course. With the worst climb at the start of the laps, the last two or three miles make for a fast finish. Friendly marshalls from South London Harriers and a nice tea afterwards in their cozy clubhouse. This race is highly recommended - hopefully more Serpies will turn out next year!

Pirie 10M (01 Dec 2013)

Small, local race in Happy Valley, easy to get to, entry on the day allowed and free cake&tea at the end. Conditions were very good, not too cold for a December morning and nearly mud free on the two laps course. Nick Torry won the race, Andy Reeves was second V40 and Serpentine won the men's team prize (four to score)
