Clapham Common 10k (03 Oct 2004)

Race was quite pleasant if a little boring as it was laps round the common, amounting to 5 (well 4 3/4) in total. Nice, flat and fast course though. Organiser's very friendly and offered post race massage to everyone (though the queue went on for ages so I didn't stick around too long!). Lots of music blasting out of the bandstand at the start which you ran round 5 times and really spurred you on. Also lots of water stations so no chance of dehydration and free isotonic drink (think the brand name was 'Taut') - very refreshing!

Clapham Common 10k (13 Feb 2005)

It was a charity fun run organised by PPUK for Muscular Dystrophy. Many runners competed mainly fun runners. The course was flat but was more like a cross country as a fair amount of it was "off road" coupled with the strong wind and mud made it pretty tough. It wasn't the course or day for a personal best but was enjoyable nevertheless.
