This year's race took place at 10am on Sunday 4th April, and was
probably in it's most favourable conditions ever - the scenic coastal
portion of the run from Tynemouth Priory to Whitley Bay lighthouse was
into a light breeze rather than the sapping wind of previous years,
and we had sunshine rather than hailstones. Two interesting hills
around the Priory provide a bit of variety, but the undulations of the
coast can be deceptive and encourage pulling away early- don't worry,
you'll be able to see the lighthouse far in the distance before you
get there!
