The race was run on a special 4k contingency course, because the normal 5K loop around Arthur's Seat was unfortunately too icy.
Fortunately weather on the day was sunny, calm & a relatively mild -3 degrees C. The outbound 2K were run up-hill on powdery snow (perfect for trail shoes!) and the fast downhill return was done on clean snow-ploughed road surface - a great run, would definitely recommend - and a good result for me, coming 26th out of 1507 runners!
