Report
A fabulous day running in the country passing over 5 rivers, 4 hills, 3 large country estates, 2 castles, and 1 Cathedral. About half the marathon was on country roads and half on trail/fileds/nettles with the odd style and gate to negotiate. Great water stops every couple of miles were appreciated on what was a hot day and ok signage meant you could get round without a map fairly easily. A fair few hills made for good views over the countryside and there was even a field that claimed it had a bull in it (always a great sign to see whilst wearing a red serpie top!). The kind of run where chip timing isn't really necessary but they threw it in anyway, for the bargain price of a tenner.
Darren, Robin and Mark made it 1,2,3 placed serpies in the 30km.
