Race conditions

Very good. Sunny, negligible breeze, ~12°C. Dry underfoot and grassland stretches firm.

Scenic and nearly flat: out and back route on minor roads and towpath/grass/country tracks alongside R Thames near Marlow, with a loop from miles 5 to 8. Well organised and comprehensively marshalled with full mile markers and generous water stations. Superb race HQ facilities at Bisham Abbey Sports Centre. 389 finishers. Friendly family event with 800m race for children (or grandchildren!).
