Corporate Challenge Series Championship: 4 October 2008
Cool with a light wind.
The final of the many JP Morgan corporate races around the world is held in New York and a field of 517 athletes gathered to contest the team prizes. This is the only event which causes part of Park Avenue to be closed to traffic and the course basically loops along the road, going round Grand Central Station and starting/finishing outside the JP Morgan headquarters.
The conditions were fairly good and led to some decent times over 3.5 miles with the winner managing 16:03. South African teams from Johannesburg dominated, but British teams were amongst the prizes for the top 10 men's and women's teams.
