Report
A cold morning with dense patches of fog which dispersed reasonably quickly after the start, giving a fine dry sunny morning. The course was a undulating 4 mile circuit within the grounds of Blenheim Palace with some fast downhills, a humpback bridge and a few (padded) cattle grids to negotiate. The time trial was followed by a road race and then the day's highlight (?), the World Brompton Folding Bicycle Championships. Approximately 250 participants wearing the obligatory dress code of a suit had to run to their folded bikes, assemble them and race 8 miles. Lap times of the leaders would have put them in the top 20% of the time trial!
