Report

A small, friendly 20 mile race, conveniently timed for anyone who missed Bramley. A field of 480 set out in gale force conditions and driving rain along a rural out-and-back course following the Avon valley. No hills to speak of. The only hazards on this particular day were flooded roads: including several half mile stretches of shin-deep water. Accurate mile markers and friendly supportive marshalls. The basic facilities were a bit of a letdown: the changing tents could have done with ground sheets to stop kit floating away in the rapidly forming puddles, but the scout hut where we all sheltered before the start was warm and dry.
