The 10 mile event is two circuits from the top of Epsom Downs through Walton Heath and along the quite back roads of Tadworth. The route is described a partly off road. However, some of the on road sections were more off than on. In fact there was so much mud I expected to see Malcolm French with clip board in hand checking our progress each time we went past the start. Each circuit starts with slight climb to the crest of the downs followed by a steep descent. However, just as in the laws of physics
