Very well organised, small race, flat road, A-B race with a free train to take runners from the finish in Treviso to the start in Conegliano, also a 3x14 relay run at the same time. Beautiful countryside (through the vineyards that make Prosecco), very friendly and plenty of supporters en route. They gave a discount for 1st time runners. Accommodation in the area is very reasonable and flights direct from Stanstead (airport 5km from city centre). Treviso is a beautiful old walled town with picturesque canals and superb restaurants.

I can’t say I’m either a good or experienced Marathon runner, but I really enjoy this experience. I would recommend this race highly.

I finished in 4.38, but I will take pride in being the 1st British in my category !!
