Pubs Local to the Seymour Centre

On Wednesday evenings in particular, many Serpies go to one of the local pubs to re-hydrate, have something to eat and chat with others. There are far too many of us for one pub to cope so we spread out to two or three. These are the current favourites.

The Victory

1. The Victory

4 Brendon St
London, W1H 5HE

Most Serpies go here and it can get very busy. Reasonable food, lager and wine but no real ale.

The Windsor Castle

2. The Windsor Castle

27-29 Crawford Place
London, W1H 4LQ

Once the main Serpie pub, it is quite small but always seems to cope. Excellent Thai food and a choice of real ales.

The Larrik

3. The Larrik

32 Crawford Place
London, W1H 5NN

Probably the closest pub to the Seymour, it has real beer, a good choice of wine and lagers, decent food and big screen sports. It can get very busy with "football" crowds on Wednesdays.

The Wargrave Arms

4. The Wargrave Arms

40-42 Brendon Street,
London, W1H 5HE

Just along from the Larrik and opposite the Windsor Castle, it has real beer, a good choice of wine and lagers and decent food. Serpies always avoided it because it was too smokey but since the smoking ban its now a good alternative choice.

The Duke of York

5. The Duke of York

45 Harrowby Street,
London, W1H 5HT

On the corner near the Victory, we use this pub mostly when we want to use the function room. It's too small and busy to cope with the regular Wednesday night crowd. It has real beer, a decent choice of wine and lagers and pretty reasonable food menu.
