Membership Benefits

All Serpentine members get the same benefits, whether you are a 100m sprinter, a casual runner or an Ironman triathlete. We think most of our benefits should be of interest to all our members.

For all members

  • Discounts on running shoes and clothes
Club members get discounts, often around 10% (on production of their current membership card) at specialist running shops in London, including Run and Become, Runners Need and London City Runner, as well as physios, masseurs and even holidays and training venues.
  • Free magazine and information
Members can pick up the weekly newsletter from club events, and the biannual magazine Serpentimes is mailed to all members.
  • Free use of the Seymour Leisure Centre
Members can use the Seymour Centre at any time for changing and showers. Just show your membership card to reception.
  • Access to the Serpentine email forums
Join our email forums to join a community of hundreds of runners and triathletes. Get advice, help, chat about running, and find out about races, parties and much more.
  • Advice from our coaches
Improve your fitness and performance by getting help with your training from one of our qualified coaches.

For everyone who runs

That's all of you, surely?

  • Discounts on races
Serpentine is affiliated to the South of England Athletic Association and England Athletics for road running, track & field, cross-country and fell-running). Club members therefore do not pay the "unattached" levy when entering races organised under UK Athletics rules.
  • Compete in club leagues
Members can compete in races and leagues which are only open to club members such as the Southern Men's League track & field, the Metropolitan League cross-country or the Assembly League road races.

For triathletes

Of course you don't have to be a triathlete to take advantage of our swimming and cycling sessions.

  • Discounted British Triathlon subscription
Serpentine is affiliated to British Triathlon, and Cycling Time Trials. Club members enjoy a reduction in the British Triathlon individual membership (which is required to avoid paying for a day license) and can also race in time trials. (but remember, tri-suits are not legal in time-trials, as you must have covered shoulders).
  • Dedicated swimming classes
Serpentine has its own swimming classes each week.
  • Spin classes and regular group cycle training
Serpentine has regular group cycle rides and its own spin classes, just for club members.
