Affiliations to our Governing Bodies

England Athletics

England Athletics England Athletics (EA) is the governing body for athletics in England. Clubs must be affiliated if they want to compete in regional or national running, cross-country or track & field competition. Affiliation also provides insurance for us to hold our own races. We are affiliated for competition in road running, track & field, race walking, fell running and cross country. Our club reference number is 2658973.

Individual EA registration

Members wishing to compete in any competitions held uner UK Athletics rules must be registered with England Athletics and purchase a competition license from England Athletics in addition to their annual club membership fee. You can do this via Serpiebase.

Note: payments for licenses are to England Athletics, not Serpentine. Whilst Serpentine collects this fee, we just pass the payment (and some personal data) to England Athletics to complete the registration. Each registered member should receive an England Athletics membership card and license number. Once you have a license it is your responsibility to keep your data up to date in the EA system (as well as Serpiebase).  In particualr, this means updating your postal and email addresses if these chage. If you think this is confusing please complain to England Athletics at the address below. Similarly, if you have paid but not received a card (which will be issued via email), please contact EA, not Serpentine.
