Committee Roles – Training & Fitness
Overview
The role of the Training & Fitness representative on the Committee is to oversee Serpentine activity involving training and other fitness aspects of running, cycling and swimming, and ensure that that club offers a veriety of weekly sessions to meet members needs.

General duties and responsibilities
Ensures all training and fitness activities are conducted in a safe and professional environment, with the health and safety guidelines set out by Serpentine and other governing bodies observed at all times.
Ensure balanced training programme offerings to meet the needs of all our of members, to the best of our ability. Liase with team captains and events/ competition to identify training needs.
Activities receiving club funds should be made accessible to as wide a membership as possible. Equally it is important to regularly assess if activities are meeting their intended aims and offer value for money. Work with the Committee with a view to making improvements as necessary. Responsibiltiy for funding requests for training for club members and coaches.
It is a primary role to ensure activities provided by SRC are adequately organised in terms of provision of coaches and facilities to meet all the objectives of the proposed activity in a safe manner.

- Membership Liaison & Club Runs rep to ensure Wednesday Nights and Saturday Mornings are meeting the training needs of members
