Committee – Junior Section Coordinator
Overview
The role of the Junior Section Coordinator on the Committee is to help manage and develop the activities of the junior section of the club, and to act as the first port of call for juniors and their parents.
Specific activities / jobs
- To help develop the provision of junior activities within the club
- To help recruit junior coaches and other volunteers as necessary
- To respond to all queries and correspondence relating to the junior section
- To ensure that that appropriate policies and guidelines are in place for junior members and those people working with juniors
- To represent the interests of junior members on the committee
- With support from the local sports development unit, identify and implement ways to improve / sustain junior club membership
Committee links
- Athletics Rep to promote competition opportunities and coordination of coaching activities for junior members
- Strategic Partnerships Rep rep for matters related to training facilites used by the junior section
- Fundraising Rep to help secure grants / funding and report to grant providers
