Experience and Achievements

Stefano completed his first triathlon in 2009 in Barcelona, after a decade spend without running because a few doctors stated he should have not been running anymore, and a few friends convinced him it would have been great to do something he had his eyes on 10 years earlier. There were only a few people finishing after him and Stefano managed to do every single mistake humanly possible in a given race finishing in 3 hours 34 mins. After that the triathlon bug had bitten. The following year Stefano spent a bit more time training (not much) and completed the London Olympic and the Hyde Park sprint distances. After a break year from triathlon in 2011, Stefano came back in 2012 and joined the novice squad, focusing on Olympic distance races. Needless to say, the support and knowledge of the group helped him gain confidence in quite a few areas. Since then Stefano competed in quite a few Olympic distance races, with a personal best in 2013 of 2hrs 26 mins and he is now focusing on 70.3 distances to step up to Ironman distance in 2014.

Interests and Activities

Stefano is keen to help beginners achieve their goals, and overcome their fears when approaching triathlon. Due to the many injuries he went though, Stefano is quite passionate about the role that strength and conditioning plus a healthy and balanced nutrition have on performance and to speed up recovery.
