Experience and Achievements

Rory Maguire is a recent addition to the Serpentine Triathlon coaching team. He has been competing in triathlons for 5 years at all distances up to Ironman. Rory started his sporting career as a competitive Gaelic footballer in Ireland; this was followed by a move to the US to compete in soccer, reaching NCAA level before returning to Europe to give London and the sport of triathlon a try. As an athlete he has been coached by Gordo Bryn, the author of the Endurance book ‘Going Long' . He has raced at all triathlon distances from Sprint to Ironman distance and is currently aiming to break the 9 hour mark at Ironman distance and qualify for Kona.

Interests and Activities

Rory wants to pass on his experience gained from previous coaching and racing to beginner athletes so that they can catapult themselves up the learning curve and avoid making similar training/financial mistakes made by him in line with continuing to develop as an athlete himself.

Involvement with Serpentine

Rory will be carrying out a brick sessions due to begin in the upcoming summer months. Further details to follow.
