Experience and Achievements

Paul entered his first triathlon in 2002, the Winchester to Salisbury Triathlon - mostly because it started with a pool swim that was only 600m long. The short swim was particularly appealing because in the previous year, he entered a quadrathlon (which has a kayak segment) and was quite comfortably the last person to finish the 400m river swim. However he caught the triathlon bug as he then proceeded to overtake people through the rest of the event.

In 2003 he entered the South Coast Classic Triathlon - his first with a sea swim. In 2004 he completed the London Triathlon olympic distance. Since then he has completed numerous triathlons over many distances including the UK 70.3 three times, the Blenheim triathlon seven times and the Canadian Mont-Tremblant Ironman in 2012.

Outside of triathlon he participates in a variety of event formats such as multi day endurance events such as cycling from London to Edinburgh in 2013 and completing the Marathon des Sables in 2014, open water swims, adventure racing and obstacle course events.
