Experience and Achievements

Lee joined Serpentine RC when she relocated to London in 2012 as a way to grow her social circle and continue her running with the support of a club. She has been involved in sport since her early childhood, was deputy captain of her primary school swim team, competed in schools galas throughout secondary school and the 800m in the Ulster Schools Championships.

Lee's triathlon adventure began in 2013, when she joined a friend who had signed up for her first sprint triathlon. For a year Gemma and Lee trained together and competed in a variety of aquathlons and triathlons. Then they both decided to join the Serpentine Novice squad in 2013-2014 to gain a more structured training routine and avail of the experience of the Serpentine coaches. Lee joined the Intermediate squad in 2014-2015, completing two half Ironman races during the 2015 season.

Interests and Activities

Lee has over 3 years experience working with non-swimmers and beginners. She enjoys working with athletes on their weaker areas, building their confidence, supporting and encouraging them to work towards their goals. Lee enjoys many water based sports, open water swimming, sailing, paddle boarding and is completing a free diving Aida 1* course this autumn.

Involvement with Serpentine

Lee was a coach with the Novice Squad last year and will be coaching with the squads in 2016/2017 season.
