Experience and Achievements
Callum ran in cross country and track events as a teenager in Scotland and medalled at National and District championships. During his 20/30s he focussed on his career but returned to running in his mid 30s and has managed to run faster over 5k/10k/half marathon distance than 20 years previously. Callum is employed as a personal trainer working alongside physiotherapists and massage therapists. He qualified as a Level 2 Endurance coach in 2006 and then as a Level 3 Endurance Coach in 2009. In 2008 he set two course records for stage wins in the Green Belt Relay while running for London Frontrunners. In 2009 he became first claim athlete for Serpentine.
Interests and Activities
Road running (5k through to half-marathon) and cross country
Callum is a firm believer in keeping balance with training and fitness. He uses strength and conditioning and flexibility sessions within his training to prevent running injuries occurring.
Involvement with Serpentine
Callum assists Karen Hancock, when required, with the Saturday morning hill sessions in Greenwich and he plans to be available at these sessions on a regular basis to support Karen and develop his own fitness.
