Here are three social trail runs for October over a variety of distances, all easily accessible by train.

Sat 8 Oct - Salcey Forest area

A 20 mile circular from Wolverton - a bit further from London than our usual routes but still only 45 mins on the train. A brand new route through "Heart of England" countryside including Salcey Forest, a remnant of the ancient forest which once covered much of the country, and the small village of Hanslope which boasts the tallest church spire in Buckinghamshire. Watch out for another email next week with train details.

Sun 9 Oct - Richmond

A short (3-5 miles), slow paced trail run from Richmond Station to Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park, with optional additional loop (for the 5 miles) taking in more of Richmond Park. Led by Catharine Sowerby.

Sat 22 Oct - Green Belt Recce-a-thon stage 19 (and a bit of stage 20)

James Edgar's social recce of the Green Belt route has reached Box Hill & Westhumble, from where it continues along the North Downs Way to Horsley, a distance of 13 miles. Another scenic highlight through some of the finest countryside of the Surrey Hills. Please email James on if interested in joining this run.
