What is Masters swimming?

Group swimming for adults. Abilities are split by lane. group motivation and available coaching make a huge difference.

Am I fast enough?

Yes, if you can swim you will be ok. If you are really not sure if you can swim there are beginner and improver sessions at Gurnell Leisure Centre on Monday evenings. Beginners: Group 1 are complete beginners and swim from 9-9.30pm. Group 2 swim from 9.30-10pm. Improvers: 9-9.45pm.

Can I (I want to) only swim front crawl?
Mostly. The faster lanes tend to swim more strokes more of the time, as it is more fun and also builds up your overall strength. The slower lanes have some swimmers that are less comfortable with the other strokes and so more of the time may be spent on Crawl, but there are kicking and drills (suitable to the ability of the lane).

What do I need to bring?
You can bring all your swim toys (Paddels, float, pullboy, snorkel...) that are probably frowned upon by your local swimming pool - but you do not need anything more than a swim suit and goggles.
