Serpies Santa Trail Run - Sunday 18 December

Come and spread the Christmas spirit along the North Downs Way! If you fancy an energetic and fun 30km (18 miles) challenge, or a shorter 15km (9 miles) run/walk, then sign up now. Whatever you choose, expect a hilly, wintry adventure that includes Christmas trees, holly, ivy and Santa's deer if we're lucky. There's an option for a Christmas pudding stop midway and, of course, refreshments at the end. Santa hats encouraged!

Date: Sunday 18 December

Place: Either Victoria or Waterloo Stations (TBC) for travel to Box Hill

December's run will follow the North Downs Way. This will be a point to point run - this means we will run from one location to another, instead of the normal loop. There are two options: either Boxhill to Oxted, or a shorter run/walk of Merstham to Oxted. For those who want to take on the longer 30km challenge, there will be at least two groups running at different paces. Anyone who wants to run with me gets to walk the up hills and stop for refreshments half way! There are lots of photo opportunities. It really is a stunning route. We will try and time it so we all arrive at Oxted around the same time for refreshments.

If you can run a 10k in about 60 minutes and have covered this sort of distance before (either 30k for the long run, or 15k for the short run/walk), you should be fine to run at a social pace. Please indicate on the form if you want to do the shorter option.

If you are interested, please fill in your details here.

You need to be a Serpentine RC member to participate. After signing up you will be contacted on the Friday evening before to let you know the meeting time and place on Sunday morning and receive a gpx of the route.

Any questions please contact me directly.
