Double win in Metropolitan League

Serpies had a great day in Uxbridge at the third Metropolitan Cross Country League meeting on Saturday with our men's and women's teams both winning.

Our women's team restored normal service after the hiccup of the 2nd meeting with an excellent win on 236 points in a tight race ahead of Shaftesbury Barnet (232) and London Heathside (231). Traditional rivals Highgate Harriers were pushed into 4th place with 194 points. Unfortunately this still leaves us in 4th place in the league, well adrift from the leading three clubs.

In the men's race, we won on 1074 points with a clear margin of over 50 points on our rivals Highgate Harriers on 1022 which significantly closes the gap between Serpentine and Highgate in the league. If we can repeat this at the next race in January we will move into the lead!
