Introduction to Cross Country, Wednesday 24th September

On Wednesday 24th September your cross country captains, Jo Beak and Fraser Johnson, will be gatecrashing the Last Wednesday of the Month cheese and wine to speak briefly to you about cross country, in advance of the new season starting. We will then then make ourselves available in the lobby by the stairs for a further chat and to answer any questions you have.

This is a chance to learn what makes cross country such great fun and to find out how you can get involved in races. In particular, we would like to encourage those who have not run cross country for the club before to give it a go. It really is a great mass-participation activity, very inclusive, with an enormous breadth of abilities at the races, so there is no reason not to be part of it.

So, why not come along, find out what it is all about over a glass of wine? Cross country really is a great way to improve your fitness and strength over the winter and of course, the social side is almost as important as the running!

The brief presentation will take place at 8.15pm in the clubroom - then we will move to the lobby.
