Pilates & Conditioning Course for Runners - Boost performance, prevent injury and address muscle imbalances in just four weeks!
The Serpentine Running Club is holding a four week course on Thursday evenings in the Club Room at the Seymour Centre running from the 23rd April to the 14th May.Are you recovering from London, preparing for Edinburgh or just looking for the missing link in an otherwise rounded exercise programme?
The Serpentine Running Club is holding a four week course on Thursday evenings in the Club Room at the Seymour Centre running from the 23rd April to the 14th May. The course is aimed at helping runners to boost their running performance by increasing core stability, strengthening weak areas and improving flexibility . The classes are taught by personal trainer and Pilates teacher Laura Williams and will cover everything from identifying and strengthening your core muscles to practising the very best remedial exercises for conditions such as a problematic ITB, Achilles tendinitis, lower back pain, weak glutes...and so on.
There will be two classes: one for beginners and one at advanced level.
= The first course takes place at 6.15pm. Suitable for those those new to Pilates and/or those recovering from injury.
= The second class, at 7.15pm, is for those at intermediate/advanced level for those who have some core experience, or who consider themselves in pretty good shape (!) or those who have previously attended one of Laura's courses.

Both classes will have a capacity of just 8 so there will be plenty of individual attention on offer. You'll also be given handouts after each session and a maintenance programme at the end of the course so that you can incorporate your exercises into your current routine.
