Cross Country Fraternity Cup & Sorority Cup - Saturday 23rd November

The Fraternity Cup and Sorority Cup are both coming up - you don't need to enter in advance, but here are the details. The race is approx 5 miles and both men and women race togther, plus our Junior athletes can race as guests in the North West London Young Athletes League.

Everyone is welcome to take part in this popular race, with the first six scoring in the men's Fraternity Cup and first four scoring in the women's Sorority Cup.

Race details

The race is 5 miles approx and both men and women race together. Entry is open to all Serpies, although only first claim members will score.

Date: Saturday 23rd November

Venue: Trent Park, Cockfosters Road, Enfield, Barnet EN4 0PS

The start is at 2:30pm and is adjacent to the car park inside the Cockfosters Road Gate, near the Go Ape. The hilly course is a great test for seasoned athletes and beginners alike and cross country spikes are the advised footware. Please note there are no changing facilities, but there are toilets and a cafe near the race start.

On the day

Philip Whitehouse will be team managing, so please make sure you give him your details before warming up. Please arrive before 2.15pm so the team entry can be submitted before the race begins.

After you've raced make sure you hand your finish token to Philip to record against your name or you won't get a time.

North West London Young Athletes League

The race will be held in conjunction with the North West London Young Athletes League. If any Serpentine young athletes that do not normally participate in this league would like to run in this event, they will be welcome to compete as guests. The first Young Athletes event is at 12.45. Please email me, Daisy Gladstone before Thursday 14th November if you want to race so I can register you with the organisers.
