Marshals sought - Southern Cross Country Championships - Hampstead - Saturday, 30 January

Click above for information about how to marshal at the South's biggest cross country event.

The club has also been asked to help with the marshalling at this Saturday’s South of England Cross Country Championships (30 January).  The venue is Hampstead Heath in North London.

The host club is Highgate Harriers, who have asked me to be the Chief Marshal.  I need to find 8 -10 Serpies to assist as course marshals.  There will be two shifts.  The first will be from 10.00am until 2.00pm and the second from 1.00pm until 5.00pm.

With some 3500 runners taking part across 10 races, this will be the most important cross country competition this season in Southern England.  There will be plenty of Serpies taking part.  We've always supported the event, which is entirely organised by volunteers, so please offer your services if you can. You'll see some great running and be able to cheer on the Serpie runners.

If you’d like to volunteer, please contact meon malcolmfrench1962@yahoo.com letting me know which shift you’d like.  I’ll then be able to let you have further information about where to meet, etc.

I look forward to hearing from you.
