New group ride cycling route this Sunday 1 November to Essex

We will be trying out a new cycle route this Sunday, 1 November. This will be the weekly ride for the club and will be a ride into Essex.

The plan is to start from Hackney Town Hall at 9:00am. The ride is 100km long and the terrain is flat/undulating with no big hills, mainly on country lanes once outside London.

There will be two groups - a faster group led by James Richens, and a slower group led by Ian Hall. It's a social ride so no one will be dropped. There's potential stop at Blackmore Tea Rooms for cake (63km).

The ride leaders can pickup people at Chingford train station at around 09:30am if anyone wants to get the train from Liverpool St. It will cut the ride to about 70km assuming you get the train back too.

The route that will be followed can be found here.

If you are interested in joining this ride can you please reply to jaerichens@gmail.com and cycling@serpentine.org.uk so that we can have an idea of number of Serpies that will attend.
