1 mile championship and final grand-prix results

In the final race of the summer grand-prix, Hugh Torry and Sarah Pemberton won the 1 mile championship yesterday evening, with Andrew Reeves taking the age-graded trophy. Read on for news of the grand-prix winners.

The summer grand-prix is our series of four shorter races within the main club championships: 1k & 5k on road and 1 mile & 3000m on the track. Twelve Serpies completed all four races and became eligible for the grand-prix trophies: the overall man and woman winners (scored based on each athlete's result time compared to that race winner's time), and the age-graded winner (the highest average age-grading across the four races).

Victoria Crawford Hugh Torry won the overall trophies and Andrew Reeves the age-graded trophy. Well done to all. The complete results table is on the website

Thank you to all the helpers who made the races happen (names on the results pages).

Club Championship results.

We had very low attendance this year compared to recent years, especially from women, which was a little disappointing. If you were one of the many people who didn't race maybe you could email me and tell me why?
