A new women's course record was set by ex-sprinter Lindsey Singer, which is likely to prove hard to beat (other than by Lindsey): 2:19 - well done Lindsey!

Results from this morning's hot and sticky one were as follows: (651m uphill in Greenwich Park). I am delighted to announce that Lindsey Springer smashed her own women's club record for this event by a massive 5 seconds! Wonderful sprinting by Lindsey - well done to all who ran.

Greenwich Hills Time Trial (19 Sep 2009)

5 new pbs were set at today's Greenwich hill time-trial 651 uphill metres, repeated every 6 weeks.

Many thanks to Callum who acted as starter, then proceeded to chase the group up the hill and equal his pb in the process, and to Tim Marsters, who kindly marshalled at the top of the hill after finishing his effort.

Great efforts by all, including 8 new pbs - with a huge 7 seconds off by Phil Skeffington! And high standards achieved by leading man Mohammed Ismail (2:02) and leading lady Jennifer Bradley(2:38) mean we had a great day, with or without volcanic ash. Well done to all.

On the hottest day of the year, there were 2 pbs and a new women's course record at the Greenwich hill time-trial. Vic Crawford squeezed a second off the the previous record, held by Jane Fanning. The women's course record is now 2:19 - well done Vic! The men's course record still stands: 1:52, set by Andy Reeves in April 2005.
