Harlow 10M (03 Aug 2003)

Although a race around Harlow did not sound a particularly
attractive event beforehand, it turned out to be one of my favourite small
races last year. The course is actually quite pleasant with a semi-rural
feel, part of the race being run on cycle ways through fields. The first six
miles are gently undulating, slightly uphill overall but nothing to worry
about. The last 4 miles are mainly flat/downhill and the race ends with a
600 metre sprint around the track of Harlow Sports Centre to finish in front
of the main stand. The race was friendly and well organised with 3 Water
Stations and Sponges around the course which were much appreciated in the
hot conditions.
